How to redirect your Tap Tag remotely from your Mytt.ag Dashboard

Your Tap Tag comes default with a mytt.ag profile already installed onto it. This profile allows you to easily create a downloadable contact vcard and a digital web-based profile, and it comes with a dashboard to manage both. Alternatively, you may choose our review software to manage review sites such as google or yelp.

However, you have the ability to bypass mytt.ag and instead redirect to any website of your choosing.

For example, if you don't want to show your profile/review site and instead want your Tap Tag to send people directly to your Instagram, you can do so from your dashboard. The redirect tool is also popular in case you prefer a different digital profile like those of Linktree, hihello, or beacons.ai.

Using this redirect tool will update BOTH the NFC tap-to-share and the QR code in realtime. This is different than reprogramming the card because a reprogram will overwrite the mytt.ag software which severes the connection between NFC and QR. 

Steps to redirect your Tap Tag 

There are two opportunities to redirect your profile (attached below)

1) When you first receive your Tap Tag, you are presented with your signup screen to make an account. Once you have logged in/created an account, you will see a Third Party redirect option on the bottom of the next page. (see below marked with a. red box) Simply click the hyperlink, and enter the URL. 

OR

1) If you have already made your profile in the past you can sign into your dashboard. On the right side you will see an option for "Profile Mode." Click this option to revel the menu with redirect button. Click "Redirect to another website"

2) Once you have the edit form pulled up, you may paste your URL you wish to direct to. Be sure to include the full website link including https://. 

Once your links is there be sure to "SAVE" to turn on the redirect. This will now override your profile and send someone who taps your NFC item, or anyone that clicks your link, to your chosen website.

 

It is important to note that your mytt.ag will not change. This is unchangeable using this redirect method. What changes is what happens when you click the link.

 

You may change the redirect URL or profile mode at anytime by logging back into your dashboard, and clicking the profile mode option.
