What is Tap Tag?
Tap Tag is our brand, we offer over 40+ NFC tap items like cards, tags, bracelets, signs, keychains and more. Each product can be tapped to share a digital business card as a sustainable alternative to handing out paper business cards.
Every item comes with a digital profile that you can manage and edit at any time. The profile is shared to any smartphone just by tapping.
Turnaround time for tap cards, tags, signs, etc?
All custom & non custom products under 50 items will ship the same or by the next business day. We stand by our one-day turnaround time.
If you are ordering more than 50 items our rule of thumb is about 100 items per business day. For example 200 custom Metal NFC tap cards would be a 2-business day turnaround. 1000 cards is about a 10-day turnaround.

Are there any reoccurring charges for Tap Tag?
All Tap Tag products come with completely free-forever software that you may use to setup and edit a digital business card profile or your review profile. This service is provided to you for free, no purchase necessary. No strings attached.
If you choose, you may upgrade to our more feature-rich platform.
How to customize Tap Tag?

Simply click into the product and click the yellow "Open personalizer and add to cart" button. This opens a blank canvas where you can add text, logo, and more.
If you are look at a product that does not have this button it is likely not customizable and comes how it is shown. Typically there is a purple "Customizeable" tag on the products you are able to edit.
Does Tap Tag have bulk pricing for tap items?
Yes! Please review our Bulk Pricing to inquire about ordering wholesale tap items. Any order of 5 of the same item qualifies for bulk pricing discounts.
Bulk items can be customized with a logo, unique names, and unique QR codes. Generally a one-day turnaround for most orders.
Tap Tag Shipping Times & Destinations
Shipping destinations:
- United States: Free 5-7 tracked shipping if spending $25+. We also offer faster shipping options at a cost for faster deliveries.
- We offer shipping outside of United states for standard shipping rates. International customers may be required to pay customs duties that may not be included in the order. These charges are unforeseen and are not relayed to Tap Tag when they happen.
- Basic tracked shipping to the US is satisfied by USPS first class mail.
- 2-3 day US shipping is USPS priority flat rate envelope or UPS Express Envelope
- 1-2 day US shipping is USPS Priority Express flat rate envelope
- International shipping is satisfied by UPS, or DHL depending which is cheaper at the time. These prices change depending on destination.
Shipping times:
- Orders are shipped via USPS and take less than 7 days to arrive once shipped (usually the following business day), However, this option could take up to 10 days depending on the season or unforeseen circumstances. This may be subject for longer ship times during holidays. There are rare instances ship times can take up to 14 days.
- We will replace any items under a $500 order amount if not delivered by the 15th day according to the tracking.
- Large custom orders over 500 units can take between 2 and 5 weeks from start of order
- Custom orders under 500 usually ship within 48-72 hours.
Shipping & Handling cost:
- All orders have free shipping to US. We also offer upgraded shipping at a cost for faster deliveries.
- Paid Shipping orders for faster delivery include both shipping and handling costs.
- We use UPS or USPS to ship outside of United states and offer whichever is most affordable and quickest at the time.
Smartphone Compatibility for NFC tap feature
Roughly 97% of smartphones from 2018 or newer have native NFC out of the box with not app required whatsoever.

Does Tap Tag ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship world wide. US shipping is free over $30, international shipping is calculated at checkout.
How to clean Tap Tag, can Tap Tag get wet?
Each product is different when talking about liquids. Our Metal cards, plastic cards, and sticky tags and signs are water resistant and can be temporarily submerged in water. It is recommended to clean with a damp cloth, or windex.
Our wooden NFC cards are not waterproof and should be kept away from water. The natural wood will absorb water which could delaminate the card. Clean with a dry cloth and just a few drops of water.
Is Tap Tag reprogrammable?
Yes. You can write and rewrite our chips at any time using a free app.
We keep our chips open so you may hard-program at any time.
If you are using our digital software you may also easily redirect your tag from the dashboard.
Do Apple phones work with Tap Tag
Yes, all Apple phones from the the iPhone 7 to the current iPhone have NFC technology. The iPhone XR and newer have native NFC meaning it will work with our products right out of the box with no app required.

Tap Tag is not working
Tap Tag comes with this website pre-loaded on it or your website if you elected that option. To see Tap Tag in action simply tap your NFC-enabled smartphone to it, the NFC chip works within 2 inches of smartphone and is located at different spots on different phones so move your phone until you get a read. iPhones scan from the top center of the phone while androids scan from the center backside. Both phones work best on the lock screen while the screen is awake.
If you are not getting a read:
1: Make sure your phone is not on airplane mode.
2: Your NFC chip automatically turns on when you wake your phone. it will not scan when locked.
- Apple iPhone's NFC chip is permanently turned on as long as screen is active.
- For some Android phones, you may have to go into "settings" and turn on "NFC."
3: Look at "Compatible phones" to see if your phone is compatible. Only since 2018 have phones been able to read NFC with out a designated app. All new phones going forward are expected to have this technology installed.

Tap Tag Specifications
Tap Tag uses NFC technology to interact with NFC-enabled smartphones. NFC is scannable from a distance of about 3 inches on most phones.
Our items are either NTAG213 or NTAG215, both of which work natively with smartphones.
We keep all of our tags unlocked so you may reprogram at any time. We can lock your items pre-shipment if you request.

What if I want a Tap Tag, but not the profile?
Sure! There are are few options you can do:
1) Still allow us to put the profile on your Tap tag, you will be able to redirect your Tap Tag to any website of your choice at any time. Easily changeable.
2) When ordering, you can request a different website link to be programed onto your Tap Tag in the additional comment area. Your tag will arrive with your website.
3) You can reprogram the Tap Tag to any website you desire using a seperate free app. This overrides anything you may have on the chip and will erase all previous contents. To reprogram, follow these steps. https://taptag.shop/pages/how-to-program
What if I want a profile, but not a physical Tap Tag?

Or a profile will come included on every Tap Tag.
What does Tap Tag cost? Are there recurring payments?
The base profile is completely free and included in the cost of your Tap Tag, it will be free forever.
However we do offer upgraded features at a recurring cost. Our cost is among the lowest in the industry and we charge only once on an annual basis. Cost depends on how many profiles you need to manage. You may cancel at any time. Learn more here

How to redirect my Tap Tag?
Login to your dashboard, select "Profile mode" to the right of your profile, and select redirect. Paste your website link and save.
Can I change my profile colors?
Login to your dashboard, select edit profile, select the button in the top right corner to edit the cover photo and change background colors.
What is the "Company Code?"
This is meant to pair employee to your dashboard. Available on the Team and Pro plans only.
When a new tag is in setup mode, select the second option to link to a company account, enter this parent code.

Is Tap Tag a free service?
Yes, every Tap Tag comes with a completely free digital profile. You may manage and edit you Tap Tag at any time, download your QR code, and more.
You may choose to upgrade to have more features.
What happens if Tap Tag goes out of business?
Don't worry, we have been around since 2019 and have grown exponentially ever sense with no signs of stopping. We have a steady stream of corporate accounts, 100,000+ customers, and a rock solid infrastructure.
With that being said, there is always a chance things can take a nose dive and we understand that despite that chance being small or far into the future.
1) If Tap Tag goes out of business we guarantee your profile will be live and accessible for a minimum of 10 years from the day our shop stops selling. This is for all free or upgraded profiles.
2) All of our products are reprogrammable, therefor you can simply reprogram your physcial items to another service if you need to (or want to). We provide steps how to do this Here.
Policies
Returns and Refunds
Your 100% satisfaction is important for us. We offer a 30-days Return & Exchange Policy for non custom orders:
- If a product gets damaged or was faulty upon a delivery - we offer 100% refund. Images or screenshot may be requested.
- If the product was not up to expectations, we will work with you to get another product, refund all or a portion of your order depending on situation, or compensate in some other way. This is on a per-case basis.
- For personalized products, like a custom-engraved NFC Business Card. We will work with you on a per-case basis to determine the best path to take if you simply just want to return it, assuming the card works and is up to expectation.
- International Orders: Customer is responsible for shipping costs of new product if a new product is sent.
- Timing: We have a 30-days Return & Exchange Policy, since the day item was received. Please first email us as we can work with you to determine the best possible outcome.
- If you believe your Tap Tag is faulty, please email us first to help troubleshoot, sometimes the issue can be fixed by tweaking a few aspects of the programming or informing the user of proper scanning procedure.
- For returns, please email support@taptag.shop with the subject 'Returns' and include your order number, name and the reason you wish to return.
- NFC chips can be permanently locked or password protected making whatever info that was on them permanent and non-rewritable. We do not offer any refunds if Tap Tag becomes "Locked" by user
- Seller will provide the customer with instructions where to send returned goods. Customers are strongly recommended to get proof of postage when returning goods to avoid "lost packages" situations.
- Please note that customers are responsible for shipping costs of returned items.
- When returned item is received and inspected, customer receives a confirmation email, notifying about the status of the refund if the product is confirmed faulty.
- If the refund is approved, then it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after. It may take up to three business days for money to reflect in the account used.
Affiliate & Ambassador Program

Our affiliate program pays 15% commission on the total sale from (minus shipping) of any completed referral. You will receive a special link to share, when someone clicks the link a cookie will register in their browser for 30 days and register if they purchase at any time within the time frame. Your referrals are approved by humans, so it may take up to 7 days to approve a referral. Once approved you are eligible for payment via your selected option (cash app, Venmo, PayPal). There is no minimum requirement for payment.
You are permitted to use any of our images if they link to our site whether organically or through your referral link.
We typically send payouts 2-4 days after the customer receives the item. For larger orders over $1000 we hold the right to hold payment for 14 days to help ensure the customer does not return the items. If the customer returns the items for any cause other than a faulty product we hold the right to remove your Commision payout from their refund. However this has never happened before.
Reasons for disapproved referrals:
1) You do not get the referral commission if it is yourself who purchased, only active referrals to others. We determine this by comparing the name, email, phone number, or any other information on the order.
2) Any coupon related websites are not eligible to receive commissions.
3) If the order is cancelled or returned before payment is issued.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how taptag.shop (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.
Collecting Personal Information
When you visit the site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases.
